Custom Manufactured Bell Furnace for the Forging Industry

Bell Furnace
Bell Furnace

CHE International was hired to manufacture a bell furnace for a customer in the forging industry, utilized for seamless forged rings. Besting our competitor's proposed costs; our recognized engineers collaborated with the customer in a team environment to create an innovative solution, designing the furnace without a fan to reduce the number of components necessary to change out at high temperatures. Other components include burners and an electric chain hoist. The bell furnace was direct gas fired, with a temperature range of 900 to 1500 °F. Our fabrication achieved the requested +/- 10 °F uniformity across the load at this wide range of temperature survey.

Meeting AMS 2750 E standards for industrial heat treating equipment, this unit was completed in a turnaround time of 16 weeks and delivered to the customer in Georgia, USA. The furnace was installed and passed survey in less than two weeks of arrival.
